Located on the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Kapahulu Avenue across the street from the beach. Parking adjacent the Zoo (entrance from Kapahulu Ave.) is available at .25/hour but be prepared to go early for available parking spaces if driving to this destination. On hot days it is nicer to visit the Zoo in the morning. You can even pick up a bento before heading down or eat at the food stand where there is a nice play area for children. If you have kids with you, remember to stop by in back of the food stand area where there is a brand new Children's zoo. Don't forget to visit the Sumatran tiger babies! Cubs recently born in the latter part of 2008.
