#1 on Diane's List of Top Ten Things - You can see Diamond Head and the Hilton Hawaiian Resort's Friday night fireworks from here. It has its own parking lot and there's Kapiolani Park and street parking. Afterwards you can have dinner or just a drink at the New Otani Kaimana Hotel Hau Tree Lanai. Or if you want to cheaper you can walk back or drive up Kapahulu and try out various restaurants. Sam Choy's is gone but other restaurants are still available. See the restaurant pages.
