Note: HPC Foods, Ltd. was founded in 1946 by Kakuichi Tottori as Honolulu Poi Company. It started as a small poi milling operation with 3 employees and has grown to be one of the state's largest poi manufacturers and a leader in the development of taro products. In 1990, the company name was changed from Honolulu Poi Company, Ltd. to HPC Foods, Ltd. This change symbolizes a commitment to continued growth and diversification in the food industry. In an effort to promote the use and consumption of taro in Hawaii’s modern culture, the company introduced taro products, such as Taro Pancake Mix, Taro Bread Mix, and Hawaiian Poi Powder. Recognizing the importance of food safety and quality, HPC Foods built a 9,000 square foot Produce Processing Center, which opened in June, 2004. Taro Brand represents the division of HPC Foods that locally manufactures a variety of food products. These products include sprouts, taro bakery products, cut produce, and poi. These products can be found at many local food stores and shops around the island.

About IPH: A fully integrated orchard and processing facility on the majestic mountain slopes of The Big Island of Hawaii is one of Island Princess’greatest competitive strengths. Our orchard is planted with 110,000 trees on an expansive 1,100 acres of choice agricultural land. In this region famed for tropical sunshine, sweet island tradewinds, reliable rainfall and the quality of its volcanic soils, these elements combine to yield the world’s richest, most flavorful macadamia nuts. In Honolulu, Island Princess operates a 30,000-square-foot factory that transforms macadamia nuts into gourmet confections. The process begins when nuts arrive fresh from our orchard on The Big Island and ends with a diverse selection of Hawaii’s finest macadamia nuts, chocolates and confections. Island Princess is a proud member of the Hawaii Macadamia Nut Association (HMNA) and the Hawaii Food Manufacturer’s Association (HFMA). Location: All visitors to the Island Princess Factory Outlet Store are invited to sample a selection of our products. Because of our convenient location near Honolulu International Airport, the Island Princess Factory Outlet Store is a favorite stop ‘n’ shop location for visitors and residents. Located directly in front of the Island Princess factory, the Outlet Store is a treasure trove of surprises on any given day. Along with a complete selection of Island Princess products, you will find changing weekly specials and 20% case-quantity discounts. You may discover generous markdowns on closeout items or unique bagged treats for snacking, baking or using as toppings for ice cream and yogurt.
