City Courses
Ala Wai - Easy to access right outside Waikiki
- Lines to get T-times are long so go really early
- Play is slow because of large numbers of touristas unfamiliar with the course
- Hot, dry, flat and easy
- Has a driving range
Ewa Village West Loch - Very pretty, relatively easy course
- Makes friend with the many ducks wondering around the course
Military (must be active military or civilian or DOD contract status)
Leilehua Golf - Wide fairways, on the long side
- Lush and green, cool
Barber's Point Kaneohe Marine Base course - Play on sand dunes
- Very windy and must play against the wind
Private
Hawaii Prince - Well tended
- Short from women's tees
Koolau Golf Club - Beautiful with waterfalls and beautiful views
- Long ball hitter especially for men
- Tough course lots of hazards, narrow fairways
- Bring lots balls - you're gonna need 'em
- Lots of ravines off of men's tee - whereas women's are on the other side of the ravines.
Luana Hills - Challenging but really pretty with mountains on four sides
Makaha East & West - West longer than east course
- Challenging course
- Putting greens break towards the ocean
- Listen for the peacocks
Olomana Golf Links Pearl Country Club - Nice views of Pearl Harbor
- Has a driving Range
- Long and hilly course
Turtle Bay Resort - 2 courses
- Long but beautiful course along the ocean
- May be windy on occasion
- All putting greens break towards the ocean
